Saint-Emilion

Jean-Pierre Moueix Saint-Emilion is produced from a careful selection of wines from some of the best vineyard sites of the appellation, including the Jean-Pierre Moueix family estates.

Elegant, bright and balanced, Jean-Pierre Moueix Saint-Emilion is a fresh introduction to this historic terroir.

Of an intense red color, Jean-Pierre Moueix Saint-Emilion offers delicate and complex aromas of raspberries, blackberries and black cherries. The palate develops on precise, well-integrated, balanced tannins.

Saint-Emilion

Famed for the quality of its wines since the 1st century, Saint-Emilion is one of the oldest and most highly regarded winemaking regions of France.

Within the privileged micro-climate of the Right Bank of Bordeaux, the vineyards of Saint-Emilion are located on sloping hills and plains.

The distinctive elegance and complexity of the wines produced on these sites is due the diversity and complementarity of their soils: limestone rules the hilltop and hillsides, while clay, gravel and sand mingle in the slopes and plains.

These soils allow for an ideal expression of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the historic varietals of Saint-Emilion. The limestone provides elegance, structure and minerality; the clay brings depth, richness and generosity; the sand and gravel in the plains offer suppleness, flesh and a rare approachability to these wines.

The Moueix family has specialized in the fine wines of Saint-Emilion since the 1930s.

Jean-Pierre Moueix Saint-Emilion is an introduction to the “Grand Vins” produced from the family estates.

Personally blended by Christian and Edouard Moueix from a careful selection of top vineyard sites, Jean-Pierre Moueix Saint-Emilion is supple and elegant, with bright, ripe fruit notes and silky tannins.

A Family Legacy

When Jean-Pierre Moueix launched his wine merchant business in 1937, he sought to offer eminently drinkable and enjoyable wines that reflect
a sense of place.

Today, his son Christian and his grandson Edouard carry forth that original vision with the same passion and dedication.
