Bordeaux

Jean-Pierre Moueix Bordeaux strikes a delicate balance between elegance and richness, fruit and spice, suppleness and structure.

Composed of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the wine is selected personally by Christian and Edouard Moueix.

Bright ruby red with a complex, expressive nose offering rich notes of red berries (cherry, strawberry) and blond tobacco. The palate is powerful and inviting with smooth, silky tannins.

Bordeaux

For 80 years, the Moueix family has been committed to sourcing the finest fruit grown by local farmers to produce wines that are balanced, elegant and reflect the distinctive terroirs of this renowned region.

Jean-Pierre Moueix Bordeaux is a careful blend of wines produced on privileged hillside vineyard sites near the towns of Lussac Saint-Emilion and Castillon La Bataille on the Right Bank of Bordeaux.

When assembling this special blend, Christian and Edouard Moueix focus above all on producing a wine that is charming, supple, smooth, with lively fruit and a certain structure.

The hillside vineyard sites selected for Jean-Pierre Moueix Bordeaux enjoy terroirs of limestone, clay, gravel, and sand.

Grown on these distinctive soils and benefitting from the temperate climate of Bordeaux, the Merlot grape offers depth and complexity, while Cabernet Franc brings structure and spice to the blend.

Combined, these varietals produce wines of character and body while maintaining a unique suppleness.

A Family Legacy

When Jean-Pierre Moueix launched his wine merchant business in 1937, he sought to offer eminently drinkable and enjoyable wines that reflect
a sense of place.

Today, his son Christian and his grandson Edouard carry forth that original vision with the same passion and dedication.
