Medoc

Jean-Pierre Moueix Médoc is produced from the warm gravelly and sandy soils of the Left Bank of Bordeaux.

Cabernet Sauvignon, with its notes of ripe cassis and cedar, is complemented by the supple roundness of Merlot and a hint of spice from Cabernet Franc.

Intense, brilliant crimson red. The complex nose is rich in fruit, with notes of blackcurrant, pepper and licorice. On the palate, the wine is ample, structured by round tannins. The finish is long, unfolding on notes of black fruit and spice.

On the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary, the warm soils of the Médoc allow for the highest expression of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Médoc

Famed for its ability to produce complex wines of character, structure and depth, the Médoc has long been a benchmark for powerful, balanced, full-bodied wines.

Indeed, the gravelly, sandy soils of the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary allow Cabernet Sauvignon, a late-ripening varietal, the warmth and the sunshine it requires to attain optimal maturity.

Cabernet Sauvignon from the Médoc has led to some of the greatest wines of Bordeaux, thanks to its powerful tannic structure and the natural complexity it develops in these privileged soils.

Sometimes austere in its youth due to these impressive tannins, Cabernet Sauvignon is blended here with Merlot, which contributes elegance, flesh and roundness to the blend. A touch of Cabernet Franc adds a hint of spice to the finish.

A Family Legacy

When Jean-Pierre Moueix launched his wine merchant business in 1937, he sought to offer eminently drinkable and enjoyable wines that reflect
a sense of place.

Today, his son Christian and his grandson Edouard carry forth that original vision with the same passion and dedication.
