A collection of wines by Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix

As wine merchants and producers, the Moueix family has been devoted to the fine wines of Bordeaux for over 80 years.

The “Jean-Pierre Moueix” collection of wines, sourced from a careful selection of vineyard sites, is an introduction to the family’s philosophy.

This range was born from a simple idea : working with select local farmers to produce a wine that could accompany everyday occasions while expressing the charm and suppleness that have made the wines of Bordeaux sought-after for centuries.

Since 1937

When Jean-Pierre Moueix first founded his wine merchant business in 1937, he specialized in crafting Right Bank blends, charming, elegant wines that reflected the specific terroirs of this historic winemaking region.

Jean-Pierre Moueix recognized early on the incredible potential of the Right Bank of Bordeaux, a little known region at the time, for producing immensely rich, supple, elegant wines.

A master blender with an exceptional flair for terroir, he scoured the region, developing close, longstanding relationships with the best producers of the area, sourcing the finest wines to craft his house blends before distributing them throughout the world.

His governing philosophy regarding every bottle of wine sold was to offer eminently drinkable, enjoyable wines that reflect a sense of place.

Today, this mission is the “raison d’être” for the Jean-Pierre Moueix wines.

Visually inspired by the 1930s…

Jean-Pierre Moueix launched his enterprise while the Art Deco movement was ushering in a resolutely modern esthetic. This moment in time inspired our label, with its clean, geometric shapes, bold lettering and warm golden touches.

The golden Ginkgo leaves, image of hope and longevity, echo Jean-Pierre Moueix’s lifelong dedication to the wines of Bordeaux. Delicate yet resilient, the Ginkgo also symbolizes the elegance and balance characteristic of the Jean-Pierre Moueix wines.

A Family Legacy

Today, Jean-Pierre Moueix’s son, Christian, and his grandson, Edouard, carry forth that original vision with the same passion and dedication.
